GlenDronach Port Wood
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed April 15, 2024 (edited April 16, 2024)Fragrant, rich, velvety, sweet, spicy, plums, raisins, orange zest, cocoa, malt, baking spices, sugar cookies and graham crackers. So many good notes. Delicious.74.99 USD per Bottle -
Fragrant nose with floral notes, vanilla, red wine and nuts. Slick and sweet on the palate with mildly spiced wine, butter cookies, oatmeal raisin cookies and baking spices. Finish is surprisingly long for 40ABV with a bit of smoldering oak, spiced wine, baking spices and mixed nuts. Desert in a glass. I love it! This is an older bottling, dont know if there is any difference to the newer one.80.0 USD per Bottle

Bulleit Bourbon Single Barrel
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 6, 2024 (edited April 15, 2024)Costco barrel pick. First thing that hits me is how viscous this is, almost syrupy, bits of corn, cherry, leather and baking spices follow. Rye spice makes itself know on the lengthy finish. Better than average bourbon. -
Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch C922
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 5, 2024 (edited April 15, 2024)Initial pours. Cinnamon, cider and cedar notes, other baking spices, a bit aggressive and spicy. A chunk of ice tones it down and allows some caramel, vanilla to come through. -
Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B522
Bourbon — USA
Reviewed April 5, 2024 (edited April 15, 2024)Burnt brown sugar leads, not nearly as much as the A122 though, followed by caramel, oak, baking spices and hints of nuts. Not terribly hot. Just ok, but i think there is some real goodness lurking underneath that might be revealed with oxidation. -
Larceny Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch A122
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed April 5, 2024 (edited April 15, 2024)Initial pours. Smells and tastes like everything spent too long under flame. Burnt brown sugar, burnt oak, even the baking spices seem crispy. Quite hot. I needed an ice cube. Hopefully this will calm down with some oxidation. -
