Wow...this is good. If anyone has preconceived notions of tequila based on a few bottom shelf versions, this will negate those beliefs.
Grassy aroma upfront, very herbaceous. But the palette is where this shines. Taste is less herbal, but goes into pineapple, some oak. Oily and full. Strong caramel as well. Finish lingers.
For about $65-75, this is a no-brainer great VFM.
Thanks @ctbeck11 for the pour!

@PBMichiganWolverine right on. I’ve never tasted a Casa Noble product, but that one quality produced and well reviewed on Tequila Matchmaker. It’s aged in French Oak instead of American like the vast majority of aged tequilas, which should impart some really nice, butterscotchy sweetness. It’ll be a good one to compare against the Diablito sample I sent, as that one is also aged in French Oak, but is 2x distilled instead of Casa Noble’s 3x process.
@ctbeck11 @LiquorLonghorn me too....well almost. I was about to buy it, but a pretty face with an accent convinced me to buy the Casa Noble Extra Anejo single barrel for $15 more. I thought I was above petty sales tactics, but I’m not...
I just bought this too. Pricey, but worth it. The combination of cinnamon, pineapple, olive, and cooked agave is so unique and delicious!
@ctbeck11 this is one I’m going to pick up. Really loved that pineapple oak flavor . Thanks again for this
Awesome! Glad you really like it. Fortaleza has a rather unique profile among quality produced tequilas. The Blanco has a distinct olive brininess that morphs into the pineapple note you found here, due to spending more time in the barrel and picking up sweetness from the oak.
