Neat: very unique nose of cinnamon, vanilla, anise, and of course juniper. Sharp start in the mouth, all pepper and no citrus, into a decent amount of acridness and bitterness (neither of which I’m very keen on), and then a very short finish, save for a bit of tingling from botanicals (Szechuan peppercorns, as someone else mentioned?). Curious, and perhaps a bit dreading, to try in a G+T, as the bitterness and acrid taste will likely be all that shines through.
The nose on this gin is really unique, along with its start on the palate, but the bitterness and the short finish make it less exciting to me.
