Aroma - nothing really seems to come forward. There is a spice presence and some type of fruit… more tropical than dark fruit but I can’t pick point it.
Taste - Surprisingly it lacks the complexity that I expected for a blend of 14 and two 8 year bourbons. Spice and oak dominate but it’s a little off balance.
Add a couple drops of water and there’s more oak and vanilla. Spice mellows out making this an easy sipper.
Overall - it’s good, but not great. The balance doesn’t seem to be there for me at this price point. Would pay $70 but apparently this one is going around $100.
