A well balanced and perfectly aged añejo. Elegant, refined, sophisticated with unique and rich flavors of cooked agave, vanilla and caramel on the nose. Harmonious agave and bourbon barrel spice notes on the palate. I do pick up the toasted oak and vanilla caramel with some spice, orange and raisins. The finish is long and smooth. The natural subtle agave sweetness balances out at the end revealing a hint more of bourbon barrel wood spice, toasted oak and cooked agave. Overall, this tastes like a fine aged tequila (not syrupy sweet or cloying) and at $180 it’s well worth it. Bought at Third Base Market and Spirits.
