Tequila Ocho Barrel Proof Reposado Las Raíces 2024
Tequila Reposado — Los Altos, Jalisco, Mexico

This is my second review of this whisky. The more I drink it, the more I like it. Im adding .25 points more. It should of been bottled at 43% abv though to truly make this one excellent. The price probably wouldn’t be to much higher and I’d definitely pay more for the added depth, complexity and flair the additional abv would bring.73.0 USD per Bottle

Less fruitiness than other VS cognacs, more vanilla and caramel. Some pleasant pepper in the middle and through the finish. Very versatile, very enjoyable on its own or in a cocktail with ginger ale and lime, or even for cooking my favorite recipes that call for flambé. In my opinion, Best pick VS cognac for the price.

A fruit forward VS Cognac both on the nose and palate with peppery middle and finish. For me, Enjoyable more on it’s own rather than in a cocktail. Because adding this in a cocktail with all it’s fruitiness just doesn’t mesh well with the other fruit forward ingredients like ginger ale other ingredients like lime and other fruits and citrus (too much fruity flavors).37.0 USD per Bottle
