Nose: All vanilla and oak here
Palate: Very thin, almost watery. Definitely get some brown rice syrup along with a bland carb note. There is some minor toasty notes but not much complexity here which may be due to the brown rice replacing the rye in the mash. That makes it very drinkable but a bit boring.
Finish: The finish lingers a bit with an odd yeasty note at the end.
Not bad by any means but I enjoy more complex whiskeys with a backbone. This is certainly easy drinking and smooth.
