Single Malt — Ireland

This bottle may be pricey but it's worth the cost of admission. I'm a fan of Redbreast and found this to almost be the more refined and smooth version. There's depth in the nose and palate and it's dangerously smooth. I got some hints of oak not it's not over done and lends itself well to the overall taste profile.

@ratacudo I'm guessing you haven't had this? Try it before you knock it... We did a tasting with a pile of top shelf Irish and this consistently comes out on top. If you prefer sherry notes you may give a slight edge to Redbreast 21 or 27 but otherwise this easily is that good.
I’ was wondering what’s up with those 5.0 toddler distillery since 2011. But you clarified things for me out of 1067 Tastings you happen to only give 13 sub 4.0. Which only goes to show how undemanding your tasting buds are. It’s limited and mizunara - the only reason for 5.0. Sadly there will be no honesty from the snobs. Nose, Pallate, Finish, you didn’t even bother. Glendalough 17 with main Palate of Green Apples (the telling sign of every basic, low quality single malt) the whisky of the Gods? Doubt it.
