Johnnie Walker Blue was the first scotch that my friends and I tried neat over a decade ago. Over the years my palate has changed during my whisky journey. Nonetheless, this dram is very tasty, and at only 40% abv the palate is oily and silky, which provides a perfect avenue of flavor for this lighter blended malt. Nose: Toffee, honey raisins, and a light oak spice. Palate: Rich and oily toffee Finish: sweet toffee, puff of peat and ashy smoke, and drying oak spice. I've had this bottle open for 5 years. I prob wont get another JW blue for the price. However, it surely is enjoyable for a softer dram. 4.15 is my book
