The nose is sweet and datk fruit. Perhaps too sweet. Right up your aly if you are a bourbon fan. Nose: vanilla, cherry, syrup, cocao Palate: butter, milk chocolate, raisins, and cinnomon Finish: sweet, raisins, and syrup. A good dram. This will get you 85% of the way to a Mac 18 2017, when we compared them at a treating with friends. Less complex, but I don't mind the 48.4 abv. A very tasty dram for $100. I'm not a collector and at it's current prices, I wouldn't spend more than $140. Cheers!! Rating: 4.20 in my book100.0 USD per Bottle

Johnnie Walker Blue was the first scotch that my friends and I tried neat over a decade ago. Over the years my palate has changed during my whisky journey. Nonetheless, this dram is very tasty, and at only 40% abv the palate is oily and silky, which provides a perfect avenue of flavor for this lighter blended malt. Nose: Toffee, honey raisins, and a light oak spice. Palate: Rich and oily toffee Finish: sweet toffee, puff of peat and ashy smoke, and drying oak spice. I've had this bottle open for 5 years. I prob wont get another JW blue for the price. However, it surely is enjoyable for a softer dram. 4.15 is my book130.0 USD per Bottle

Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed May 4, 2021 (edited August 22, 2023)On the nose I'm immediately picking up tropical fruits. I get banana, pineapple, strawberry, and vanilla. It reminds me of those tropical caprisun juice packs I drank as a kid. The lasting notes on the nose is like a strawberry starburst. The nose is the highlight of the whisky for me. The palate is soft, sweet, a plastic note, a dash of spice. The finish is medium-long with dry and bitter oak, spice, and plastic synthetic taste. I've give this a 4.1 or 82. The main area that I'd know this whisky is that the palate is just too thin. If only this were bottled at 46-48%, the palate would really come alive. -
The nose on this is exciting! I get a sweet cinnamon and raisin bread with honey. Everything on the nose transfers over to the palate but with a rich and oily texture. The finish medium/long, and sweet and oaky. I would rate this as 85/100 and just a few points under the 18 year. This is an awesome buy for only $45.45.0 USD per Bottle

Glenlossie 1997 19 Year Cask Strength (Alexander Murray & Co.)
Single Malt — Speyside , Scotland
Reviewed February 28, 2021This is from a 2 ounce sample. I let this sit for 20min before the tasting. On the nose I first get honey, then a peanut butter toffee and fresh/ sweet cut red apples, with a slight alcohol and dry note on the end. This whisky really comes alive on the palate. It's sweet, salty and dry. This coats every part of your mouth. The finish is long, dry, and chewy. Solid dram and would consider picking up! -
