Nose - Figs, plums, blackberries, sweet BBQ glaze, leather, pipe tobacco, crème brulee, caramel, toasted nuts, and rich baking spices. This is a fantastic nose.
Palate - Dark fruit pie filling, fruit leather, tart grapes, tobacco, allspice, baby back ribs, molasses, and sweet oak. Finish is medium with dried berries, caramel, brown sugar, toasted nuts, and cereal grain.
I bought this for my brother as a graduation present, and of course I took a couple samples with me. I've overlooked this for a long time, most likely due to the price. After my brief experience with it, I definitely should've had it sooner. This is a fantastic sherry finished Scotch, one of the best 12Y I've had in a while. The nose smells like it might be too sweet, but it mixes those savory and bitter wine and oak notes just right.

There was none her for 2-3y and then it magically reappeared at several big box stores so hopefully it finds its way to NC!
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington Don't really see that one around NC
If you liked this one and want something a little darker and heavier with more earth then don’t delay in the 15 either - I made that mistake but thankfully it is once again plentiful, albeit a bit pricy
Nice! Seeing your review reminded me of how much I liked this one. Very complex.
