The nose screams it will be hot but it's suprisingly mellow at first. It's heavy on clove and mint with a very spicy cinnamon and pepper finish. The middle is a spicy wood bite and a rich leather and hint of pine. Overall, it's simple but it's pretty good. The lack of anything in the first phase of each sip is kind of strange. Is my palate off?
