N
RICH caramel sauce, sweet wood that intertwines with the aged oak, marshmallow, maple.maple.maple, banana
P
Golden raisins, the age of the wood in the best way possible, oily maple syrup
M
The 97 proof is perfect, the maple-bomb is both enriched and tamed by the decade on oak. Effortless, prepare to get in trouble if given the chance.
I don't like the price compared to the old distiller editions (I'm old enough to have enjoyed them far more than today's fellow taters), those were $35-50, this was $63+tax @msrp, at which I'm lucky to have snagged it for apparently. I like it more than the average of those, though... this is a duh for Jack fans who enjoy the profile. Was between this and a super cheap 1.75 of gentleman before leaving the store and this was the right choice

Haven't seen this for less than $300 near me. Good find. And the Coy Hill is at $500-800. I like Jack, but can't imagine anything they make is really worth those prices.
@PBMichiganWolverine I got super lucky and window-shopped at a total wine the morning they put their only case out. I almost grabbed a bottle of cowboy this same way two weeks ago. This JD bottle is not worth over $100 until it's years old and discontinued. I personally think though that if you were a true collector/investor, these are a solid grab for the bunker stash under $80 as the "1st of a new annual series" thing will probably lead to them appreciating well. for those unaware, the msrp of cowboy is now $220 not $160. secondary markets only gonna get worse, hope you guys got a whiskey bunker.
Amazing you got this for $65. Here it’s well over $200-300. That’s silly money over a 10yr JD, or any 10yr old short of ghosted ones like Brora , Karuizawa, Hanyu, Port Ellen or Rosebank
I"m guessing that, like Maker's 101, this hits that sweet spot of age and proof that make the expression sing. I'm hoping to try this soon, fingers crossed the tater tax isn't excessive.
