Dark copper with reddish hue. Quite sticky with numerous but slow legs. Nose is rich leather, ripe fruit. Chocolate covered cherries. Sweet up front, with lots of heat immediately after. More chocolate and fruit on the finish, with lots of the barrel coming out late. Dark chocolate covered peanuts come to mind as well. Dark caramel and butterscotch cream. A few drops of water open it up nicely and bring out some of the accompanying grains beyond corn. Softens the mouth feel dramatically and really stretches it out.
