The Jameson Stout Edition is a level above the standard Irish Whiskey offerings due to being finished in stout barrels. The nose is typically Irish in that it has soft notes of butterscotch and vanilla. But, the stout edition has another layer of richness. It has notes of maple syrup and pecan. The taste is very light, but delicious . It is honey forward with a tad of dark chocolate. Jameson is very easy on the palate. The finish is very soft with minute alcohol burn. It leaves your mouth with a light cocoa/coffee notes. This is perfect to drink neat and enjoy at any time. Excellent offering from Jameson and great Irish whiskey. Slainté.
