Russell's Reserve 10 Year Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Traditional bourbon flavors, but with stronger oak influence than usual. Cinnamon and baking spice. Not a lot of fruity notes. Less complex than perhaps expected from a 10 year old, but pleasant nevertheless. Dry oakiness and spices dominate the palate and finish. Hint of mint. Enjoyable sipper, but I prefer WT101 because it has more complexity. Perhaps they should bottle this at higher strength too?

I'm with you. This one just always falls flat for me. I just would expect more from a premium product from the Russell's and it just never gets there for me. I'll take WT101 and save the $15-$20 every time.
