We like reviews right? Well tough shit if not, because I really wanted to crack this open. This sexy bottle is the High Rye Bourbon (a favorite of mine as far as the style goes) Nose: Crazy good nose — Yellow cake, stone fruit, vanilla custard, and no sign of ethanol burn. Need this as a candle. Palate: Bright apricots, orange peel, light spearmint, vanilla icing and a touch of baking spice/pepper Finish: Fleeting unfortunately, at the proof point (111) this doesn’t hang around as much as I’d like but it’s probably younger. The apricot/vanilla note is what Irish goodbyes, you just notice those notes walking out the door and smile. Wonderful whiskey. Wouldn’t pay secondary for it.
