Johnnie Walker Island Green
Blended Malt — Scotland

A slightly smokier, fruitier version of the Green label. I like the smoke, don’t care as much for the fruit. Has a little bitterness that builds over sips. Finish is long, smokey and spicy.

@jdriip i am not a cardhu fan either but the smokiness here was good
@Jose-Massu-Espinel I loved the smoke, but the Cardhu fruitiness was a big drawback for me.
@PBMichiganWolverine I rated the regular Green Label higher in a previous tasting. I tasted them both the same night recently and my impression was that I liked the regular Green Label better than the Island Green. I’ll take a blend with Talisker and Linkwood any day over one with Glenkinchie and Cardhu!
Have you tried the regular Green? I thought that was slightly better than this ; had the Talisker in there
man i looooove this one. it is far smokier and tasty than any other JW. i have one in my bar.
@Benji-Robert you are too kind. I like the JW celebration bottle a lot.
your excellent-as-always writing reminds me I need to try a bottle of celebration before it disappears.
