Larceny - One Armed Bandit (Julia's Pick)
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA

Nose - vanilla, light maple syrup, hint of artificial cherry, grain alcohol, light green grass
Mouth - medium to light density, sweet, vanilla and molasses, white pepper balance, soft wheat feel, traditional wheat smooth. A little more complexity than a Larceny shelver. Get a late touch of baking spices. Slight spearmint. Adding a splash of water mellows the heat, opens it up, brings out more spice, more light pine and oak, but also makes it less interesting.
Finish - interesting, but not overly complex. Sweet, berry, small bite of spice, modest heat but enjoyable. Heat gets less modest with subsequent sips. Tongue and cheek numbness lingers. Not a punch of wow, but decent staying power. Touch of peanut on the linger.
Overall - a great entry sipper. Doesn’t meet my definition of bourbon profiles. But I’d reach for it on an entry experimental night. Feels a little young, but refined for its age.
