Blue Note Juke Joint Uncut
Bourbon — USA

Bottled at 62+% ABV. I believe this comes from Barton, bottled in Memphis. On the nose I get vanilla and green apple. Surprising to me, not a lot of ethanol on the nose for what I believe is only 3-4 year old bourbon. The palate is buttery caramel and the apple shows there as well. A little warmth going down, but drinks lower than its proof. Young and not particularly complex, but definitely not bad at only 42$. Between this and the Riverset Rye barrel pick, I prefer the Rye.

@sdmoflsmo Good catch! I stand corrected.
Blue Note's literature says it was from a 2019 warehouse collapse. The only warehouse collapse that year was at OZ Tyler (now Green River).
@PBMichiganWolverine - yes, for sure 🤣
@soonershrink yeah, considering the price, it’s not bad. Good thing the Marketing team probably missed that launch meeting , else would’ve easily added $50-100 for the backstory
@PBMichiganWolverine I believe these came from the Barton warehouse collapse in 2018. Pretty good, especially for the price.
This one seemed interesting. Apparently the barrels were left outside since a part of the warehouse was destroyed by a hurricane ( or fire? Or something weather related )
