Fantastic nose! The sherry and peat combine into a fresh, bark-mulch scent. The taste is caramel, maraschino cherry and subtle oak. The peat comes through on the finish accompanied by black pepper and red apple skin. The main fault with this whisky is a bit of a metallic aftertaste. Overall, a good whisky, but the flavor is a tad muted.
