Bourbon — Texas, USA

Nose: Carmel, vanilla and brown sugars.
Palate: rock star palate. I’m not kidding. It’s like it’s sourced from Buffalo Trace and the Blantons barrels except at cask strength. It’s all here. Brown sugar, vanilla, Carmel a bit of tobacco. It’s so good.
Finish: it’s a great finish. It lingers and it’s got a great Texas hug.
Overall: I’ve had the regular strength a year ago and I said to my wife that is good but it’s missing something. Well it was proof. That’s what it needed. They have really done this dram a service by giving us cask strength. Don’t leave it on the shelves.
