It has everything you want from an Islay. All the smoke but it has more fruit on the palate than most of the other Islay such as Ardbeg or Laphroaig. I actually prefer this to the 16yr at about $50 less per bottle. Next to the Kilchoman Sanaig and Port Charlotte 10yr, this is my favorite Islay and easier to find or cheaper than either of those. A great place to start on your peated Scotch journey. Cheers!
