Look, I know poo-pooers like to talk about how most hard-to-find allocated bottles aren’t nearly as good as other bourbons that you can readily find on the shelf. This is NOT one of those bottles. This stuff is fucking EXCELLENT for the price point. Big dusty notes of corn on the nose are mixed with more reserved notes of oak. I definitely get the Red Hots on the palate like a lot of people say, but also big oak and vanilla notes with just a little bit of tobacco. The finish is long and slightly spicy, but very pleasantly so. I’d always keep a bottle of this stuff around if I could find it!
