I have become quite a fan of these double oaked bourbons. Woody DO was very good and Balmo is amazing. This doesnt reach Garrison level but is a fraction of the cost. Noses antique wood, leather, fudge brownie batter with white chocolate chips and polyurethane. Its sweet and oaky. Palate is rich heavy flavor with singed smores, milk duds and charred barrel leading the way. There is sticky dark toffee, creamy vanilla as well as some hints of baking spice. Finish slowly dries out the sweet notes to some nice toasted kd 2x's. Its not super complex relying mainly on the confectionary/lumber yard two step but make no mistake this is yummy. If you are partial to sweeter bourbons and the DO profile in general you will like this, I sure do.........91/100.........if you want to see how good this profile can be get yur hands on some Balmo, it will cost you but its sublime imo.

I think maybe @Ctrexman is @butterboy11. :p T-rex is very good about using comparisons. Very helpful.
@butterboy11 Thanks for the kind words
I love ctrexman’s reviews. He’s my go-to when I really need the top to bottom review in an easy to understand, plain English review & score. Then he treats us to his scoring system… out of “100”- & also compares the reviewed product to similar drams for comparison. Everyone should have him on your list of “go-to” reviewers.
@Ctrexman 1910 does the double barrel thing better than its Woodford Cousin IMHO.
@Bourbon_Obsessed_Lexington I would take this over Eagle Rare but it is more $$....well srp that is
The confectionary/lumberyard is spot on with plenty of chocolate notes - palate keeps with the nose (unlike Woodford DO) and honestly competes well (if not better) than Eagle Rare
Awesome review. Balmo for the win. Woodford DO is great. Need to try 1910 now!!
