Nose: Rich brown sugar, dark fruit, delightfully oaky with ever so slight caramel, vanilla and citrus. Imagine sitting at a plate of waffles covered in hot rich maple syrup sitting next to a man wear a pleasantly spicy citrus cologne.
Palate: Rich dark brown sugar, dark fruits with slight citrus and oak
Finish: Semi long warm to hot finish that makes the mouth and lips tingle with only a tiny momentary hug; flavored with sweet oak and vanilla
This is the shelf iteration to its fullest richest potential. D@mn this is delicious.
I am new to the exploration of bourbon and even I could easily handle the proof. Hot enough to entertain but easy enough to drink without proofing down.
My area charges $5-$10 more than MSRP across the board so $70 is not out of the realm of reason for this amazing wheated bourbon. If I was a hoarder this would totally be bunker worthy.
