Had Uigea in a line up of scotches last night with my boys @tbran19 @TravHernandez @thechad and this was my favorite!! This may have swung me over to enjoying peated scotches. Wow!! Bacon, figs, char/smoke, briney, peat! I was less interested in getting all the notes because the experience was too good to let slip.
I will eventually buy a bottle and review it formally. But for now all I have to say is “wow”.
94/100
[EDIT] It has been a few days since tasting this whiskey and I am still thinking about it. Low on “folding money” at the moment, but this is one of the first whiskies I have craved in a while simply because of the impression it made. Bumping up from 4.5 to 4.75. What dreams are made of.

The Lap quarter cask is probably my fav Laphroiag for $$ but the 10 yr is just so friggin solid. Overall I like Ardbeg line a wee bit more but cmon cant go wring with either. Then you can move on to Lag 16
@Ctrexman @trentoniousmaximus Ardbeg and Lap 10 are both worthwhile. I’ve not had a Lap offering I don’t like. I have yet to try any of their cask strength offerings, but those are on my wish list.
You could just try the Ardbeg 10 or Lap 10 and see how good the standard bearers are now that you like the smoke
@Ctrexman stoked to finally be here. Think I was skiddish, but now have an itch for more. Have any other peated recs? (I live in TX will be keeping my eyes pealed for Balcones Peated if/when it rolls around.)
@MaitoMike your review on it is my favorite, for real. May take my copy LOTR back off the shelf to celebrate when I eventually crack it. Saving to buy a bottle soon! Cheers!
I had the same reaction to this whisky. Hands down my favourite!
Welcome to the peated club
Great scotch. My favorite Ardbeg. Corrupt a close second.
