3.0 Stars - Good; 750 ml bottle
Well crafted and easy to drink. Simple to the point of being boring. Reminds me of Buffalo Trace bourbon in that regard. Safe bet when starting someone on their Scotch journey.

It's more likely me - maybe there's a very faint aroma or taste I only sometimes detect.
@cascode Any chance it tastes better after you have a beer or another whiskey? Sometimes these shy ones need an opening act to prime the senses.
This whisky is mercurial for me - it will seem very ho-hum on one occasion but the next time I taste it, from the same bottle, it's very good. Sometimes I get notes like Ben Nevis or even Talisker or Springbank from this, but the next day it's just an average malt. Strange.
