Came highly recommended and I was looking to continue exploring highland/Speyside drams. Nose was a caramel, raisin, malt sweetness with a slight-but noticeable-smokiness. Taste mostly follows. Noticeable peat flavor. Also somewhat spicy and hardly smooth. Burns a bit on the way down. Overall, this is a good scotch but for the price point, I was expecting more. I got a lot more out of my recent Arberlour 12 Double Cask (for half the price).
