Nose: Carmel, brown sugar, vanilla, orange zest and peanut shell
Palate: ok hear me out. It reminds me of JD 10 yr. Similar proof as JD10yr, similar taste as JD10yr. I need to do a side by side to see the difference. That being said that’s no a bad thing. JD10yrs is great. In the finish I get a almond note.
Overall: pricy as hell. I paid 179 bucks for this bottle. Is it worth it? Imo there is too much great jack on the market to buy one of these. That being said I’m glad I have one and when it’s gone I doubt I’ll fork over this much cash for another. JD barrel proof single Barrel is just too good and too available at 70 bucks to buy another one of these. I’m not knocking it it’s really good just costly.
