Dark color. Nose is a sweet woody vanilla. Light chocolate smell comes through after it breathes for a bit. The sip coats with a thick sweet smokey honey. Aftertaste is very nice and little if any alcohol burn after. Sweet all the way through. Getting a nice maple syrup blueberry pancake taste after a bit. Have to think the second barrel kicked some life into the standard woodford reserve flavor and turned up all the notes way up. Dessert bourbon. All the notes are sweet so it’s great for that style. Overall it’s damn good. Glad I took a shot on this one. $50 bottle is worth the cost.
