It is a nice expansion of the standard MM. Adds more vanilla sweetness with toasty maple cherry. Light cinnamon bread is hiding there after a few seconds savoring the sips. Sort of a thin and not a lingering aftertaste. Worth a few more dollars for some extra proof points and a sweet toasty twist on the standard bottle.35.0 USD per Bottle

Elijah Craig Barrel Proof Bourbon Batch B524
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed November 21, 2024 (edited December 16, 2024)Classic ECBP all the way through. Sweet caramel, oak, red spice, and buttered toast nose. Taste is long and more dry spicy with light maple sweetness. Long finish with very moderate heat. Lingers and drinks below the proof. Its not amazing, but if you like the style and ECBP is basically an automatic buy you will enjoy this.75.0 USD per Bottle -
Drinking straight. On the nose you get a bitter cinnamon and dry vanilla. Thin. Taste adds on the same with a standard Jim Beam bitter oak. Short aftertaste. For the price you can do better and do worse. Definitely ok but the extra aging is really only apparent on the nose. Getting a little bit more sweetness as it goes on. On ice it becomes sort of a bitter tannic mess. Will definitely find its way into some cider or a toddy soon.23.0 USD per Bottle

Jack Daniel's American Single Malt Oloroso Sherry Cask
American Single Malt — Tennessee, USA
Reviewed September 4, 2024Picked this up in duty free Istanbul. $99/liter. Comes out the bottle almost brown. Brown sugar is the main swetness. Toasted cherry with a dark brown banana bread you get from a lot of JD. The taste is banana with sweet cinnamon. After a bit you get spicy marshmallow. Long aftertaste with thick smooth texture. Roasty sweet all the way through. Sucks that this is only a duty free thing, but it’s excellent.99.0 USD per BottleIstanbul Airport (IST) -
1792 Full Proof Straight Bourbon
Bourbon — Kentucky, USA
Reviewed August 22, 2024 (edited December 16, 2024)Thick and oaky nose. There is a spicy apple mixed in with vanilla, cinnamon, caramel. The flavor profile is pretty standard, but it works and has a medium long aftertaste that starts warm but not overpowering and brings in more fresh bakery tastes. Holds up with an ice ball but fine on its own. Great value.50.0 USD per Bottle -
Balvenie DoubleWood 17 Year
Single Malt — Speyside, Scotland
Reviewed August 10, 2024 (edited December 16, 2024)Nose of burnt vanilla and dried raisins. Taste brings in some wild apple and toasted oak with the sherry flavor at the end. Medium long aftertaste getting lighter and sweeter. Not super deep but a smooth and flavorful dram. -
First time trying. Nose was strong dry spicy cinnamon bread. A savory bitterness behind it too. Taste brings in more raisins and dry cinnamon bread, with a strong herbal lingering for a solid 15 seconds. Aftertaste tapers off into more spicy dark bread and bitter maple. I plan to revisit once i get a better rye palate. It got better by the end of the bottle but was at its best over a large ice ball.61.0 USD per Bottle
