Sometimes my friends give incredible blind samples. Sometimes my friends are the worst. This was mixed in a set of blinds from @thechad
Nose: honestly this smells like the bottom of a sweaty gym bag. I’m scared to taste it, but I’ve got to give a review to find out what this is.
Palate: vegetal bitterness. As I swirled it around my mouth I was getting hints of black licorice but as soon as I swallowed I shuddered and the unmistakable taste of canned green bean juice hit me. I’ve only gotten this note in one whiskey before and this has got to be pure Kentucky.
Finish: regret.

@ghanta that’s the beauty of there being so many bottles out there. Glad you like it, but it’s not for me. For my palate it’s awful, and remember these tasting notes were from a completely blind set of samples from a buddy. For the same price or under I’d rather have old grandad, early times, any of the benchmark releases, old forester 100, or any $35 MGP sourced bottle
Dude u must have got something really wrong, this whiskey is way better than what u can expect from bottles floating around at the price u pay for this.
@thechad I figured you drank too much Pure Kentucky and went blind
Hahaha, how did I did just see this!?
