Rating it lower for how overpriced it is. Where the regular bourbon is just boring, this is unpleasant. Almost no nose, some astringency, mild black pepper, and an artificial tasting sweetness. Missing rye spice somehow. Quick finish, weak, forgettable.

@rkwhitaker - Haha, I grade on a curve to try and force some differences on the Distiller average. 2.0 stars is where I start with nice, well made whiskey. 1.5 and below is flawed.
@angstrom It probably is. For me, anything less than 3.5 means I wouldn't drink it again. The price on this was insane.
