Johnny Walker Black on the plane. Neat and with 1 ice cube. Great color. It's only redeeming quality. Neat: Strong nose, light flavor. More raw distillate than American. I swear I taste some red wine in the background. Subtle smoke. Warm in the back if the throat. Spicy finish. No real burn. w/ice: Maple nose. Smokey, ashy. Distinct ashtray flavor. Little warmth. All good flavor is seemingly washed away. Keep it neat. I would never buy this... It lacks the big flavors of American whiskey.
