Not great. I prefer to drink my bourbon with an ice cube or two. I tried this after having a glass of E. h Taylor and a sniff of the cork and bottle really don't give this much of an aroma at all to me. After letting it open up for a few minutes I can smell distinct vanilla and sweet notes, maybe burnt sugar or caramel. This is not my go to bourbon, and probably won't buy again after finishing this bottle. I would rather spend my $25-$30 on a bottle of McKenna Bottled-In-Bond, a 10-year 100-proof, single barrel. The McKenna is a better bang for your buck in my opinion.
It seems that most people like this bourbon and it is highly recommended, so I look forward to seeing if it opens up a bit after sitting on the shelf for a month or two.

I'm glad you like the McKenna! My wife was doing some research for my bourbon hunting and decided I should get it. I'm so glad I bought it, and will keep it on the shelf always.
Agreed. The McKenna 10 year Single Barrel BIB just became available in my area and is now one of my favorites.
