Aberlour 16 Year Double Cask Matured
Single Malt — Highlands, Scotland
Reviewed
August 1, 2022
Color: Chestnut/ Oloroso Sherry
Nose: Musty, resin, baked pear, hint of apple. Adding water brings out perfume and lessens the pear.
Taste: Sweetness upfront, astringency in the back, light and watery on the palette. Adding water brings out a less desirable astringency and perfume.
Finish: Short, uneventful
