I get red apple on the nose with some vanilla/caramel. The initial taste is light pepper with a vanilla finish that fades quickly. I'm not getting the "double oaked" in the way I do with Woodford's double oaked. Not very complex, but very drinkable. The price ($35) matches what you get.
