Viscous in texture. The heavy peat and smoke lend to the prominent medicinal notes. These same notes tend to linger on the palate for a bit. Although brief, a hint of honey and fig do make an appearance. I would not recommend to the novice scotch drinker. This one is full-grown and makes it’s presence known, both on the nose and the palate. I would anticipate one will either love it or remember to avoid it if offered. Made me want to paint my face blue, don a kilt and broadsword and scream “Freedom!!”
