On the nose the brine and malt spices take center stage with citrus, honey, vanilla, dried apricot and yellow raisins also apparent. On the mouth swish, a note of smokey brine hits the tongue immediately followed by raisin and apricot. The flavors all stay on the tongue with no nasal or throat burn whatsoever. Vanilla and burnt caramel become apparent on further sips, but are mild with the strongest notes remaining the brine, raisin, and apricot. Overall a complicated and pleasant nose 3.75/5; Taste becomes less complicated offering few of the notes that hit the nose 2.5/5; Overall Impression 2.75/5
