N: Cherries, red grapes, ethanol, medicinal notes, mint, fresh cut wood, dried firewood, maybe some sawdust, char, maybe (probably) some distant vanilla and caramel.
P: Thin feeling on entry. Caramel, milk chocolate, red fruit, hot cinnamon and cloves, vanilla, rye bread, cereal grain, corn.
F: Cherry cough syrup, vanilla bread pudding, medicine, brown sugar, caramel, mint, dried herbs.
I dig the cherry notes, but ends up a little too boozy for me. Ends up feeling unpolished with a bit too much of a reminder of gasoline. Long story short, I can't imagine picking this up again when both Buffalo Trace and Knob Creek's entry level offerings are about $10 cheaper and better, in my opinion.

@LouisianaLonghorn I wonder about the CS releases. They're (almost) unicorn status, but I have a hard time imagining this needing more proof. It just kinda drinks like a cheap bourbon that got a fancy finish. And that's probably exactly what it is. CS won't change that. But maybe different finishes or more age would.
This one leaves me wanting too. I do remember it being a great introduction when I was first getting into whisky several years ago. I’ve seen some cask strength store licks of these at Total Wine in the past six months.
