Interesting and hard to describe. The smells are faint but you get little whiffs of peat, smoke.
The first sip is a juicy mouthful of butter, briny ocean, charcoal, peppercorn. The finish is lengthy but the flavors develop in your mouth. The taste bounces around from medicinal with menthol tingles, then the sweetness kicks in with subtle ripe orange, raisins and tanginess.
Love the length but the bitterness can be overpowering. Maybe the mature bottles have the best fit.
