Nose: caramel, oak, vanilla, chocolate, roasted peanuts, pencil shavings, red berries, orange
Body: medium to big, nice slowly building Kentucky hug.
Palate: sweetness hits me first. Citrusy. Some caramel and smoke if I really try hard to pull out more flavor. A little spiciness
Finish: medium and more caramel spiciness.
Note: neat from a glen cairn. It’s light, fruity. A little nutty. I think the nose is really interesting but the palate falls a bit short for me. The citrusy notes are nice. The finish is longish and sweet but it feels like it’s missing some body, some darker notes are not there for me. I was expecting blow the doors off and I got a measured door opening. Good not great.
