I’m not too familiar with calvados but I didn’t enjoy this one too much. Straight it is crisp and extremely dry. Notes of apple, pear, minuscule tinges of honey with larger notes of hay ending in a slightly spicy but mostly dry finish. The drink becomes much more appealing while on the rocks, almost as if the water releases a bit of sweetness from the drink.
