Surprisingly green on the nose, mint, agave and grass, charcoal, toffee, pineapple and orange rind. On the palate it’s smooth and mildly sweet, with flavors of wood, agave, char, pepper and vanilla. The finish is lightly peppery.
Quite interesting. While 100% agave and essentially tequila, it’s spicier and less rich than most quality reposados, and by no means in a bad way. It’s just different. Perhaps it’s an agave and sotol love child…
