Breuckelen 77 American Single Malt
American Single Malt — New York, USA

A nice little bit of vanilla, honey and malt on the nose, a lot of ethanol if you dig too deep. Same notes on the palate with a lot of heat. Finish is long with contrasting bitterness and saccharine sweetness.
Thanks to @ContemplativeFox for the sample.

The amount of ethanol is pretty disappointing for 7 years old. The cooler climate in New York clearly demands much longer aging than most American whiskey needs.
