For the money, I still think this is one of the best wheated bourbons out there. Sure it's hard to find at SRP, but it's certainly worth it (there's even days I prefer it to the 12 year). The nose has some great complexity, while the profile itself is simple, but soft and tasty nonetheless. At $25, it's still an incredible value despite the new competition it faces for wheated. I'd even pay $40 without much of a second thought given the inflation for almost all whisk(e)y in current times. I can only hope that in 6-8 years we'll see this bottle return to the shelves regularly now that Buffalo Trace has completed it's new still house and can double production on everything in its lineup. Shoutout to Adam who helped me restock a new bottle after I'd been out for some time.
