I’d wanted to try this for a bit. Being a Jim Beam product I didnt know what to expect. At 100 proof it is quite smooth and not harsh. Lovely dark amber. Has a sweet smell. The taste is not super complex but sweet with some dried fruit and spice. Coming from a macro distiller and at this price point it is surprisingly good. Being non cold filtered it has some fatty viscosity. I really like it. Whiskey falls into two categories for me, sippers and mixers. This is definitely a sipper to me.
