Slight pepper in the begining then transfers to more robust herbal green notes, a larger amount of mineral that some other espadins, with an intense amount of woody smoke. Finish is still heavy in smoke, but adds intense black pepper as well. its definitely a smokier mezcal, good for any drinks needing higher smoke.
