Surprisingly there is hardly any alcohol presence which makes me a little scared. The nose is fantastic though. This is candle worthy. Zero rye presence here. I absolutely love this. Taste - That massive banana foster note profile is popping up front with black cherries and caramel. Midpalate - cherries still linger, but then the rye hits in the form of wintergreen and mint. There is a touch of cinnamon from time to time but it’s in the form of a red hot candy. Finish- boozy, caramel drizzle, vanilla, luxrado cherry juice, rye spice. Overall - it’s a monster of a pour. Rips the enamel off the teeth and the stomach and lower esophagus take a beating on this one. But palate gives zero fucks. For the pice of $80. This might be the best rye barrel proof offering on the market.
